American fashion designer Alexander Wang has taken up the post of creative director at Balenciaga, succeeding Nicolas Ghesquière who left the position last month after 15 years.
Wang continues to design for his eponymous label, and his first collection for Balenciaga is expected for autumn/winter 2013-14.
